Waiata Epsom Tennis Club is located in Epsom, Auckland and welcomes players of any age and ability wishing to play tennis either socially or competitively. Our club has 4 floodlit artificial grass tennis courts, volley wall, and modern club house. We are a friendly community oriented tennis club with social tennis during the week and Junior and Intermediate coaching Thursday and Friday afternoons in terms 1 and 4. Come join in the fun!

Club Tennis - Tuesday Night & Wednesday Morning

Come play social tennis Tuesday 6pm and Wednesday 9am. Everyone is welcome to join in for a bit of recreation tennis, and meet other members.

Intermediate Club Night - Thursday

School terms 1 & 4 5-6.30pm for social hitting and pizza nights. All abilities welcome.

Nomad (Veterans) Tennis - Friday Morning

From 9am-noon. Veterans are welcome to socialise, and play social doubles.

Junior Coaching - Friday Afternoon

School terms 1 & 4 tiny tennis and junior coaching for ages 5 -10 in various sessions to have fun and learn the basic skills of tennis.


Waiata – Epsom Tennis Club is 10 minutes drive from central Auckland, and close to public transport bus routes. We are proud of our newly laid artificial grass courts and modern clubhouse.


All days from 7:00 am; no play after 10:00 pm or on Sunday after 7:00 pm. No play on Good Friday or Christmas Day.


All players must wear approved tennis shoes with non-marking soles, and appropriate clothing when playing on the courts. Please, on the courts: No smoking, no chewing gum, no food, no skateboards, no bicycles. No-one is to retrieve tennis balls from neighbours’ properties. Try to keep noise to a minimum, especially at night.


Four "Tiger Turf" artificial grass tennis courts. Floodlights for night tennis may be used by Club Members with lights endorsement on their access tags A versatile ball machine is available for use by club members. Key may be obtained from committee members - charge $5 per use.


Our modern pavillion has a sunny viewing deck overlooking the courts for the perfect viewing spot. A well equiped kitchen is available with fridge, microwave, oven and provision for hot drinks. There are separate mens and womens changing rooms, toilets and shower facilities. A Table tennis table is available for members use.


Our club has a "target" volley wall perfect for practising your tennis strokes and a basketball hoop for shooting hoops. The outside grass seating area is fully fenced, with a sun-shaded playing area for children. A bbq for members use and picnic tables makes it a perfect place for families to enjoy.


Private Coaching is available for individuals or groups. Any ages or abilities (beginner – advanced) are catered for. Our friendly and professional coaches have years of experience. Contact them to learn or improve your tennis!

How To Join Our Club

Download a Registration Form and email or mail the completed form to us.
Payment can be made via Internet banking, as outlined on the registration form.

Our membership year runs from 1 September to 31 August (aligned with the tennis season).

If you need additional information, feel free to email or call us and we will get back to you as soon as we are able to.
